Solution Engineer

Beep Science is looking for an experienced and hands-on Solution Engineer to join our professional server-side engineering team in a dynamic and international working environment. The main job responsibilities will include leading the software delivery processes and assisting customers in implementing Beep Science’s existing solutions. You will work closely with our Development team as well as with the Business Development team to analyse needs and customer requirements and create solutions for them.

Your main duties will be, among others:

• Manage the software delivery processes towards customers
• Systems and customer requirements analysis and solution creation
• Implementation and verification as well as driving integration in order to meet the customer’s expectations
• Quality Assurance and documentation
• Project management
• Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations towards customers

You will be expected to travel regularly in this role.

Education

Bachelor degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent. A Masters degree is an advantage.

Background & Experience

Minimum 3 years software development experience; including experience working directly with customers in delivery of customized solutions. You must have experience in deploying JAVA/J2EE applications.

We prefer candidates with a background in any of the following areas:

• J2EE development • Product Development & Delivery
• Agile / XP development process
• Content Protection (DRM or other)
• Content Management Systems
• Mobile Content Services (Ringtones, Music, Video, Mobile TV)
• Mobile Operator / Telecommunications
• Billing Systems

Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to closely work with customers
• Highly results oriented with the ability to accomplish goals, keep deadlines and to deliver according to high quality standards
• A team player that enjoys participating in team efforts with the ability and confidence to work independently
• Fluent both in verbal and in written English

Preferred Skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas will be considered highly:

• Hands-on software implementation, delivery and project management skills
• JAVA / C++ programming
• Project specifications & solution design
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Application Servers (JBoss, BEA WebLogic)
• Network architecture (clustering, load balancing, etc)
• Content Protection Technologies (OMA DRM, WMDRM, 18Crypt, Marlin DRM, Coral, CPRM, DLNA, ISMACryp, SimulCrypt)
• Streaming technologies (MPEG-4, 3GPP PSS)
• Mobile Broadcast (DVB-H, T-DMB, OMA BCAST)
• Mobile Content Delivery (OMA Download, MMS)
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and OCSP
