Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer provides a service to the Beep Science product development and professional services teams. You will be defining tests and implementing tests (automated and manual), approving releases, and enhancing the company quality assurance and release procedures.

Two (2) positions are open.

One position is focused on QA towards the Beep Science DRM Server (J2EE technology) and the other towards the Beep Science DRM Agent (Embedded C/C++ technology).

The main duties of the role are:

• Development of Automated Tests
• Product Testing
• Interoperability Testing
• Enhancing test and QA procedures, process and practices

The right candidate will demonstrate the potential to lead the Quality Assurance team.

Education

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent.

Experience

2+ years in a software test role. Experience in writing test strategies and plans.

Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent communicator in English
• Demonstrate leadership and conviction in your work
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Comfortable to work in a multi-cultural environment

Preferred Skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas will be highly considered:

• Quality Assurance processes and methods: CMM, RUP, ISO, etc.
• C/C++/JAVA programming
• Scripting in Perl, Python, PHP, ANT
• Applications Servers, Web Services
• Mobile telecommunications
• Mobile phone technology
