Project Manager

Beep Science is looking for an experienced project manager to help drive our software teams towards product development, customer delivery and support. We expect the Project Manager to be aware of all the ongoing and future activities in our organization. You will assist in communicating priorities, challenges and risks throughout the organization. Beep Science products are highly technical, and our team of software engineers look to leaders who can understand technology. Beep Science employs agile software development methods (XP) and you should understand the role of a Project Manager in such an organization.

As Project Manager your duties will be, among others:

• Motivate and help the teams to achieve targets
• Help the team estimate & prioritise tasks/stories
• Manage risks and facilitate logistical needs of the team
• Record and report the process of the teams
• Assist in customer projects
• Develop documentation

The right candidate will demonstrate the potential to lead the Quality Assurance team

Education

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

Background & Experience

You are an experienced project manager, with a software development background. 7+ years relevant experience.

We prefer candidates with a background in the following areas:

• Working in small dynamic organizations
• Agile / XP development process
• Mobile Telecommunications (operator or terminal)
• Content Services

Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent communicator in English
• Strong leadership skills
• Strive to create value in new ways
• Comfortable to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Willingness to travel

Preferred Skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas will be highly considered:

• JAVA / C++ programming
• Application Servers
• Embedded software development
• Content Protection Technologies
• Mobile Broadcast / Mobile TV
