J2EE TEAM LEAD

Beep Science is looking for a technical leader for our professional server-side software engineering team, within a dynamic and international working environment. This is a challenging role where you will lead a team of developers to design and deliver new features in and around Beep Science J2EE DRM Server. You will have overall responsibility for the quality and productivity of the core team developing the next generation of content protection technologies that are already being delivered to service providers the world over. You will be working under the guidance of the product management group including the CTO.

Your main duties will be, among others

• Software development (programming) & design
• Overall responsibility for the teams productivity
• Estimate and coordinate tasks
• Run weekly/daily team meetings to keep track of work
• Mentor and provide general guidance to the team
• Enforce coding standards

Education

Bachelor degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.

Background & Experience

You are an experienced team leader, with a minimum of 6 years software development experience, at least 3 year in JAVA/J2EE development.

We prefer candidates with a background in the following areas:

• Agile / XP development process
• JAVA and C++ Programming
• J2EE server development
• Object Oriented design & documentation
• Mobile Operator / Telecommunications
• Carrier/Operator grade server development

Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Take ownership and responsibility for product excellence and quality
• Fluent both in verbal and in written English

Preferred Skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas will be highly considered:

• Application Servers (JBoss, BEA WebLogic)
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Databases (Oracle, MySQL)
• Secure Implementation (DDoS, etc)
• Cryptography (AES, RSA, PKI, OCSP)
• XML Schemas & DTDs
• Content Protection Technologies (OMA DRM, WMDRM, 18Crypt, Marlin DRM, Coral, CPRM, DLNA, ISMACryp, SimulCrypt)
• Streaming technologies (MPEG-4, 3GPP PSS)
• Mobile Broadcast (DVB-H, T-DMB, OMA BCAST)
• Mobile Content Delivery (OMA Download, MMS)
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and OCSP
